A Guide to Measuring Your Level of Awareness

This test is designed to help you reflect on your level of awareness by assessing your ability to recognize, understand, and regulate your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Answer honestly—there are no right or wrong answers, just insights into your current level of awareness.

You’re going to need something to write with and something to write on. That’s the first part of the spatial awareness test.

Instructions:

For each statement, rate yourself from 1 to 5:

1 = Never true

2 = Rarely true

3 = Sometimes true

4 = Often true

5 = Always true

Section 1: Personal Awareness

1. I can clearly describe my emotions at any given moment.

2. I understand why I react to situations the way I do.

3. I can recognize when I am being defensive or irrational.

4. I often reflect on past experiences to learn from them.

5. I understand my own strengths and weaknesses.

Section 2: Social Awareness

6. I can tell how my words and actions affect others.

7. I notice when someone’s mood shifts, even if they don’t say anything.

8. I can accurately read body language and emotional cues.

9. I change how I communicate depending on who I’m speaking to.

10. I take responsibility when I hurt someone, even unintentionally.

Section 3: Thought Awareness

11. I notice my own thought patterns and biases.

12. I can recognize when I am making an assumption rather than knowing a fact.

13. I question my own beliefs and consider alternative perspectives.

14. I can separate emotions from logic when making important decisions.

15. I notice when my mind is stuck in negative thought loops.

Section 4: Behavioral Awareness

16. I can recognize when I am acting out of habit rather than intention.

17. I am aware of my triggers and how they affect my reactions.

18. I can pause and reflect before reacting emotionally.

19. I try to improve my behavior based on feedback or self-reflection.

20. I make conscious choices rather than letting life “just happen” to me.

Section 5: Higher Self-Awareness

21. I see patterns in my own behavior and try to evolve beyond them.

22. I am aware of how my ego influences my decisions and interactions.

23. I am comfortable admitting when I don’t know something.

24. I have had moments of deep insight that changed how I see the world.

25. I actively seek personal growth and deeper self-understanding.

Now add your score.

Scoring:

25-49 pointsLow Awareness 🌀

You may not spend much time reflecting on your emotions, thoughts, or behaviors. You might struggle to understand your reactions or how you affect others. Increasing self-awareness can help improve emotional balance and relationships.

Focus on: Journaling, meditation, and pausing before reacting emotionally.

50-74 pointsDeveloping Awareness 🌱

You have some awareness of your emotions and actions, but there are still blind spots. You may reflect on yourself sometimes but still react automatically in certain situations.

Focus on: Deepening self-reflection, questioning assumptions, and observing your behavior more closely.

75-99 pointsHigh Awareness 🔥

You have strong emotional intelligence, notice your thought patterns, and understand your impact on others. You actively reflect on your growth and seek wisdom from experiences.

Focus on: Expanding awareness into deeper psychological insights and understanding the unconscious influences on your actions.

100-125 pointsTranscendent Awareness

You see beyond yourself—not only do you understand your own mind, but you recognize the larger patterns of human behavior. You challenge assumptions, perceive deeper truths, and guide others toward awareness.

Focus on: Teaching self-awareness to others, refining your wisdom, and exploring how consciousness evolves.

Next Steps:

If your score was lower than expected: That’s okay! Self-awareness is a journey, not a fixed trait. The fact that you’re taking this test means you are already on the path.

If your score was high: Keep pushing yourself. No level of awareness is absolute—there is always another layer to uncover.

If you reached Transcendent Awareness: Consider how you can help others grow. Self-awareness is not just personal; it transforms relationships, communities, and society.
